Holding the Dremel or other driller in hand rather than using a drill press is recommended.

Build a mini pool of water with plumbers putty or submerge the material in water.

Start the hole at an angle. While holding the drill in hand carefully move the drill around just enough to ream out the sides of the hole. Let the tool do the work.

You have a lot of drill bits in the case you can spare a few broken bits.
